“My family and I stayed at Arena y Mar for approximately 2 weeks. Waldir and the rest of the team was very responsive and accommodating. The cleaning staff did a great job and all of them were very friendly. We have been to Costa Rica many times and traveled extensively. In my opinion, it is the people that make or break a location no matter how beautiful. This is a beautiful location with lovely people. I would do my homework for first timers to understand that there are things in CR that may not be the same as your country. The roads are tricky with loads of huge potholes and there are two creek crossings to get to the house if you go one of the ways. It is not a big deal and everything is basically walkable. I believe that most people going to Playa Guiones/Nosara are there for the beauty, surfing, wellness and excellent food.
BlueSand was very helpful and trusting. For example, we left the country owing money for a few cleanings, $68. I am the type of person that would never stiff someone, but it was also nice to see that there is trust in the world. We will go to CR again and definitely put Playa Guiones/Nosara at the top of the list. BlueSand represents owners that have beautiful homes. I have never booked a home outside of AirBnB or another platform, but this was a very positive experience.”

“Casa Bamboo was a stunning home with lots of privacy and gorgeous landscaping. We loved waking up to the view from our room and sitting with a coffee on our bedroom balcony. The outdoor dining space was perfect for entertaining and playing games in the evening. The pool is fabulous with a pool length submerged seat for many people to hang out chatting in the pool at the same time. One end of the pool has chaise lounge seating – all great for cooling off after a day at the beach. Our teenagers loved laying around at night in the big comfy lounger seats on the pool deck. The location is spectacular – easy to walk to anywhere in Playa Guiones – either along the beach or through the town. We can’t wait to go back !”
“We were 3 families of 3 in the house and it was a dream vacation home: modern aesthetic, a sense of natural seclusion with the amazing landscaping, pool, bbq and outdoor dining area - great in/out living but with all the bedrooms air conditioned for hot nights. The kitchen is so well equipped we cooked a few amazing meals in. The management company also arranged a lot of fantastic meals out - easily accessible by foot or golf cart. We loved everything about the house and Nosara and will be back!”
“We have stayed at many vacation properties over the years and none compare to Casa Bamboo! We visited Casa Bamboo is early June with a group of 5 adults and 3 teens. The house is extremely spacious and private. All of the bedrooms are secluded (none share walls) with their own large bathrooms. Everything about this property was beautiful from the design to the gardens and pool. Just a 5 min walk to the beach and next door to a surf shop for board rentals. Quick walk to town where you will find restaurants and shops. Highly suggest renting a golf cart to get around. The kitchen is appointed well for cooking and grilling. It has all of the basics you need. Keep your eyes and ears open for the monkeys! We heard the howler monkeys daily!”
“I wanted to write a little note just to say how much we LOVED our experience at Casa Nautilo. Being able to hear the waves at night as we sleep, and walk to the surf in the morning made our stay in Costa Rica a dream come true. We loved cooking up all the fresh finds at the local markets in Nautilo's beautiful kitchen and dining alfresco while listening to the crickets. We always return to Casa Nautilo as it is just the perfect family beach house, and the Blue Sands staff, and Marcella who cleaned for us, was super responsive, lovely to deal with, and always professional. Our kids didn't want to leave, and neither did we! We can't wait for our next experience at Casa Nautilo.”

They also provided Concierge service, made dinner reservations, and scheduled our required COVID test. “Blue Sand is the best service we have had in Nosara and we have been here several times. Eli met us and was so kind and obviously loved the property as she showed us around the casita. Alejandra checked us out at the end and was also excellent. Responses during our stay were immediate and handled.”
“Our vacation in Nosara was fabulous! The location was perfect and the home was sparkling clean.The management company, BlueSand, was beyond exceptional. They were very attentive, professional and helpful. We used the airport shuttle service arranged by Blue Sands and they were outstanding. We arrived quite late in Nosara so used the owners lockbox to get inside. Veronica met us at our place the next morning to greet us and go over the house details. She was so friendly, helpful and nice. She went over everything with us and gave us outstanding recommendations and local tips. We felt like she was an old friend. Throughout the week Veronica was extremely helpful and accommodating.. She arranged our zip-lining tour with Miss Sky Canopy tours which was our favorite experience of the trip. The day before we left , there was a big storm and power outage throughout the town. We walked to the BlueSand office where we were met by Willie. Willie was also very friendly, helpful and fantastic. He gladly let us use his work computer and even printed out our boarding passes for us. The blue sands office was decorated like a stylish home /office decorating magazine. It was gorgeous, clean and professional. We are seasoned travelers and this was one of our favorite trips thanks to Blue Sand. BlueSand was OUTSTANDING and went above and beyond to make our trip so amazing. We would highly recommend them!!!!”
“We stayed at Casa Cielo from May 13-19, 2019. It was absolutely lovely! The modern, clean house was beautiful and excluded from other houses around it. The pool was perfect with the views of the ocean, and the staff, especially Veronica, were all extremely helpful and accommodating. I would recommend renting a car as this house is about a 5 minute drive to the town/beach, but the roads are a little rough so golf carts might make it difficult to get around. ATVs would also be fine but it was rainy season so we were grateful to have a car. They cleaned the house mid week which was great. Our wifi was out the majority of the time due to lightning frying the modem, but we didn't care and didn't make it a priority to be fixed or I'm sure they would have. They got us groceries for our arrival, and have the service to do that your entire stay if desired. Overall, our stay was amazing and I highly recommend staying at any BlueSand property due to their pristine customer service and willingness to make your stay enjoyable!”
“Casa Nautilo was one of the nicest houses we have rented to date. Nine of my friends and I rented it for a week for a birthday celebration and it was far beyond our expectations. We loved every minute of the vacation. Close to the beach, close to town, close to yoga and restaurants. Absolutely awesome. We loved everything about Nosara!!!!! Eli was wonderful from the beginning of the process to the end. She was there whenever we needed her and we would absolutely work with BlueSand again!!!!”

“We had an amazing stay with our 11 month old baby. The house was sparkling clean and even better than the photos. Karen was very responsive and we can't say enough about the house managers (Eli and Willy from BlueSand) - they made check in a breeze, were very helpful with local suggestions and research, brought over our baby rentals, organized the rental car, and even grocery shopped for us since we were arriving so late. The house has a beautiful view and you can hear the surf all day and night.”

At first I thought maybe I had rented something too far away from the action of Playa Guiones, but after a single day I realized that we didn’t want to be with the masses. And what we really wanted was to be nestled in the jungle in a private pool overlooking the Pacific! BlueSand Team were awesome! We arrived late, in the dark (weekend traffic escaping to the coast), but thankfully they had waited for us (with a smile) and took us through the maze of roads, through the creek, and made sure we got settled in.”
